Looks like someone decided it's autumn, even though it ain't autumn 'cause we're not spinning round a sun and don't have seasons. Anyone got an idea why the Admiral thinks we all need t'be showered with dead plants?

The way I see it, there ain't any use for raining down magic leaves outta nowhere except to crunch when you walk on 'em. Seems we might as well get some use outta them. Any of you folks ever build bonfires back home? Wouldn't be too hard to rake up a pile and light it in the CES. Don't sound like a bad time, specially not if someone saved any of the rotgut from that last history-time break. [Duo? He's looking at you.]

She's not mentioned it. I think they come from somewhere else, like most of the things that come here. Maybe even a lot of places.

To people used to planets that orbit suns, it might make them feel more at home. [She knows crap all about seasons herself.] I've never actually seen plants do that before.

And to anyone used to a different cycle it makes 'em feel more out of place. [He shakes his head.] Depending what world you go to some trees turn brown and drop their leaves when it starts gettin' cold. Start of the uglier seasons.

Could be. Could also be they get too old, or they just don't want extra weight on 'em when it snows. Don't know, I never learned too much about trees.

I can't say that it'll happen, but it certainly wouldn't surprises me if it was to be.

I've not been on a lot of planets that have them [or had them where she could see them]. They're still pretty new to me.

I don't really know. I saw a lot more when I was on board the Lexx. And it was a very large ship.

We were looking for a new home, so I suppose. The League of 20,000 is a horrible place. There aren't many good planets there. We were hoping to go out into the frontier and find somewhere nice.

Where's the League of 20,000? That anywhere near the White Sun system?

Are his presents as weird as everything else he gives out?

The League of 20,000 is many systems, but it's a part of the Light Universe; the universe that's ruled by order. Only it's the type of order that if you resist it, they punish you.

It might have a White Sun system in it, somewhere.
