[Backdated to the day after the Beasts of Burden flood:]

Seems that when we all jumped back a couple steps evolution-wise some of us were busier'n others. [He's looking at you, cold-blooded reptiles and formerly stoned felines.] Going into why or how ain't important, but I picked up a couple things this flood that I don't got a use for.

[The picture moves to sweep over a pile of random objects sitting on the floor of his cabin: it's a mess of mismatched jewelry, coins, silverware, keys, buttons, electronic parts, and half-eaten foodstuffs, various strings and ribbons tangled up in the collection.]

Anyone wants this huòsè* back, all you gotta do is ask for it. Anything that's left I'm dumping in a common room.

Yeah? [In a "what about it?" tone. He turns back to the pile and picks out the arrowheads, separating them from the rest.] Can't say I'm surprised. None of 'em talk straight about it. There's a ladder, but the drop ain't much.

[Now there's a neat trick, they come apart. How did he not realize that when he was picking over them with little paws?] You ain't kidding. Did you luck out and stay the way you are or go all fuzzy too?

You were a big wormy snake thing chasing me down, I assumed you thought I was food! If it were any – [Catching himself in his frustration, he tries to banish it with a wave of his hand.]
