[Backdated to the day after the Beasts of Burden flood:]

Seems that when we all jumped back a couple steps evolution-wise some of us were busier'n others. [He's looking at you, cold-blooded reptiles and formerly stoned felines.] Going into why or how ain't important, but I picked up a couple things this flood that I don't got a use for.

[The picture moves to sweep over a pile of random objects sitting on the floor of his cabin: it's a mess of mismatched jewelry, coins, silverware, keys, buttons, electronic parts, and half-eaten foodstuffs, various strings and ribbons tangled up in the collection.]

Anyone wants this huòsè* back, all you gotta do is ask for it. Anything that's left I'm dumping in a common room.

Er. Youthful shenanigans, mostly. It's a bit difficult to explain. I wasn't myself at the time.

So you went after shoes. [What the hell, George. Sure, Mal may have stolen a bunch of useless junk too, but at least some of it is nice to look at.] Was there a dire shoe shortage on board? Not enough in the storehouses to get through winter?
